Our Integrated Asset Management (IAM Solutions) focuses on the assessment, renewal, modernization and sustainability of buildings and every year, we undertake the assessment, renewal and improvement of thousands of buildings throughout Canada and the United States.

 

Our Sustainable Buildings team provides consulting services at every stage of the building life cycle based upon the principles and goals of sustainability and stewardship.  The sustainable buildings service areas reflect the interconnected systems-based nature of sustainability and include LEED Consulting, BOMA BESt Consulting, Building Performance Simulation, and Commissioning. This is where great people and great ideas truly make a difference.

Responsibilities:

Stantec in Ottawa is currently seeking an Intermediate Sustainability Consultant. Reporting to the Managing Lead of the Sustainable Buildings team, the purpose of this position is to provide direction and leadership in the execution of sustainability projects.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Project management of sustainability projects
  • Business development
  • Supervision and mentoring of junior technologists and engineers in project execution
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized post secondary institution in Engineering or related Science discipline
  • Minimum 4 years experience in engineering preferably in an industrial setting
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer is preferred
  • Experience in building energy efficiency would be considered an asset
  • Experience with sustainable building certification programs is an asset
  • LEED Accreditation would also be considered an asset
