Our ideal candidate for this full-time position is a schedule-driven Senior Project Manager that understands all aspects of project management best practices with a focus on project scheduling, schedule and control reporting and motivating multi-disciplinary client teams to meet their deliverable deadlines.

Responsibilities:

Our Halifax Office has an opening for a Senior Project Manager who is seeking an organization with significant growth opportunities.

  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships within the Atlantic Region.
  • Identify and lead project opportunities and pursuits.
  • Work closely with the client’s Project Manager and the client’s team to ensure scheduled deliverables are adequately detailed, properly resourced and completed as planned.
  • Manage the weekly schedule update process, such that updated schedules and reported progress accurately reflect the “situation on the ground”.
  • Provide senior technical review of engineering reports.
  • Mentor, coach and train junior professional as required.
Qualifications:
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Project Management working on major capital projects.
  • Solid knowledge of Project Management Best Practices, processes and procedures.
  • Experience in Petroleum Refining facility construction and retrofits in an operating environment.
  • Engineering degree or equivalent in Engineering and Project Management.
  • Professional engineer in good standing in Nova Scotia.
  • Highly motivated, self managed individual with hands on involvement who can work independently and follow a process.
  • Pro-active problem resolution ability.
  • Strong ability to work in a team environment.
  • Possess a Valid driver’s license.
