Our Air Quality and Noise Management team members have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of projects that may include air quality impact assessments, air dispersion modelling, air emission inventories, ambient air quality data analysis, air monitoring network design, hazard and risk assessment, and regulatory approvals and reporting. Our office in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia has an opportunity for an Air Quality Scientist. If you are an excellent communicator, have strong attention to detail and are a seasoned project manager, then we have a dynamic work environment where you can play a pivotal role in our Air and Noise team.

Responsibilities:
  • Project management including:
    • Client management and coordination

    • Project budget tracking and cost control
    • Project scope tracking and progress reporting
    • Project team coordination and work delegation
    • QA/QC and senior review of technical project work
  • Assisting with preparation of proposals, marketing materials, and/or technical papers
  • Business development
  • Consulting with and answering technical questions from scientists, engineers, project managers, and external clients
  • Air quality-related project work, including ambient air quality data analysis, air emissions inventory preparation, air dispersion modelling, and report writing
Qualifications:

The qualified candidate will possess;

  • Master’s degree in Science, Meteorology, Environmental Sciences, Engineering or a relevant field
  • Minimum of 8 years experience with a strong Project Management focus
  • If applicable a Professional Engineering designation is an asset
  • Project Management Professional designation is also considered an asset
  • Experience in air quality assessments (including emissions estimation and air dispersion modelling)
  • Can demonstrate advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience leading project teams
  • Strong commitment to client service and quality
  • Proven ability to successfully meet deadlines and manage a number of projects at once
  • Excellent collaboration/communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize several simultaneous assignments
