Responsibilities:

Our Oil & Gas Group is currently looking for a Controls Specialist for our Calgary, Alberta Office.

 

The successful candidate will provide the following:

 

  • Member of technical team developing controls deliverables including: shutdown keys; control narratives; control system architecture; control panel design; IO allocations.
  • Communicate with clients and site personnel to identify best solutions and implement solutions into engineering design efficiently.
  • P&ID development support.
  • Attend / support HAZOP and SIL assessment sessions.
  • Site trips for control system trouble shooting as-builds and assessment.
  • Control system commodity specifications and material requisition development.
  • Project team communication.
  • Coordination with other disciplines to execute project deliverables and meet schedule.
  • Execute studies and develop reports.
  • Preparation of construction work packages.

 

Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of engineering experience.
  • Experience in Alberta Conventional Oil and Gas engineering industry is an asset.
  • Engineering Degree or Technology Diploma in applicable field (Process Control, Electrical, Instrumentation).
  • Experience in operating oil and gas production field and facilities is a large asset.
  • PLC, & SCADA panel design & specification.
  • Testing, Commissioning & Start-up experience.
  • Process Safety Training is an asset (SIL, LOPA).
  • PLC programming experience is an asset,  specific systems: Allen  Bradley.
  • SCADA RTU and Host programming experience is an asset.
  • Safety training (H2S Alive, Emergency First Aid) an asset.
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to perform effectively in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
