Stantec is One Team Providing Infinite Opportunities Responsibilities:Our St. John’s, Newfoundland office has an immediate need for an Intermediate Structural Engineer. As the successful candidate, you will be a skilled problem-solver with a strong attention to detail. You will provide engineering expertise in a diverse range of projects, from initial planning to design and construction. Working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary design team, you will be challenged in providing innovative solutions to our client's facility needs and preparing quality technical specifications. Responsibilities include design of systems for commercial, industrial, institutional, public and private facilities. Qualifications:The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership, solid civil design experience and excellent interpersonal communication skills with clients and team members alike. Specific experience and qualifications in the following areas are also required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering along with extensive experience related to the design of infrastructure for private and public clients • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in contract preparation, administration and project delivery • Experience with engineering software applications such as SFRAME, AutoCAD, and other tools will be a definite asset. • Must be able to effectively manage several concurrent projects • Experience with the application of relevant building design codes is essential
