We collaborate on developing innovative solutions for complex projects in the areas of advanced water and wastewater process design, water supply, conveyance, pumping, and storage.

Responsibilities:

Position requires thorough knowledge of electrical design and engineering techniques. Responsible to plan and conduct independent electrical engineering work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. Devise new approaches to problems, and prepare or modify drawings, specifications, calculations, charts and graphs, and monitor work for compliance to applicable codes and accepted engineering practices and standards.

Candidate required to perform all levels of electrical engineering design in support of design for water and wastewater treatment infrastructure including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Power distribution: 15kV and 600V and below
  • Application of NFPA Guidelines including publication 70 (National Electric Code) and 820
  • Lighting Design including lighting calculations, layout, and controls
  • Develop motor controls, design schematics, and consult on motor applications
  • Develop process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
  • Programming
  • Cost Estimates
  • Quantity takeoffs
  • Requires contact with clients, vendor’s representatives and project field personnel
  • Participate in job site visits to serve as the electrical technical project representative during construction
  • Serve as the Project Electrical Task Lead responsible for the electical task controls (scope/budget/schedule)

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline and over ten years of experience with advance knowledge in electrical engineering.
  • The candidate must be a Licensed PE in the State of Ohio
  • Knowledgeable in National Fire Protection Association/National Electrical Code (NFPA/NEC) Standards
