We manage environmental issues professionally and proactively to improve our clients' profitability and competitive advantage by allowing them to identify and respond to opportunities and threats within the changing regulatory and corporate environments. We're currently looking for a Compliance and Permitting Specialist, this position can be based out of Irvine, CA, Houston, TX or Canton, OH. Responsibilities: - Strong understanding of state and federal environmental and safety regulatory agencies, including their jurisdiction and major regulations.
- Ability to develop effective written compliance programs for various federal and state regulatory drivers.
- Recent history of auditing compliance activities at a wide variety of operational Oil and Gas facilities and pipeline systems
- Hands-on implementation of regulatory compliance and permitting programs (DOT, OSHA EPA, USCG, NEPA, MMS, USACE, USFWS, State Agencies, FERC)
- Understanding of federal and state permitting nexus for linear routing projects.
- Ability to understand client needs related to compliance management and to develop compliance management solutions.
- Ability to communicate regulatory needs and work directly with regulators in establishing permitting strategy.
Qualifications: Must have five to seven years of experience coordinating or managing environmental permitting, assessment and/or compliance work related to CEQA, PHMSA, CWA, NPDES, USACE, USFWS and NEPA requirements as they pertain to linear energy projects (liquids pipelines and terminals). Requirements include: - Bachelors degree in an environmental, planning or technical field, including engineering, science, planning, or related fields.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Advanced knowledge and use of business application software and technology experience.
- Excellent writing and report preparation skills.
- Light to moderate travel may be required.
