Job Description:  Overview:

Stantec’s Geotechnical Engineering group in Calgary has an opening for an Intermediate Administrative Assistant.  This is a one year term position that could turn into a permanent position at the end of the term.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing internal and external memos, letters, minutes of meetings, correspondences and reports.
  • Organizing and managing all aspects of filing and information retrieval related to business and client management needs.
  • Performing all tasks related to the processing of incoming and outgoing mail
  • Coordinating meetings, including employee training sessions and travel arrangements as required.
  • Providing follow up in a timely manner and prioritizing/sequencing multiple tasks.
Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Minimum of 3 years professional office administration experience.
  • Has demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat in a professional setting.
  • The ability to organize and plan for work, sometimes with tight deadlines while maintaining attention to details.
  • Ability to work independently and in a dynamic team environment.
  • Demonstrated common sense and sound judgment.
  • Flexibility and initiative to respond to changing projects and priorities.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A certificate or diploma in Office Administration is not required but is considered an asset.
