Responsibilities:

Stantec in Calgary has an immediate opening for an Intermediate /Senior Mechanical Engineer.  The successful candidate will provide technical expertise to our Mechanical Engineering practice within our Buildings Engineering group.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Lead the mechanical design process on projects of various size and complexity
  • Prepare and review specifications and reports
  • Maintain and grow current business and client relationships 
  • Deliver solutions and troubleshooting to support the mechanical team on client and technical issues
Qualifications:
  • Mechanical Engineering degree from an accredited university
  • Professional Engineering designation with APEGGA or another province in Canada required
  • Minimum of 6 years Mechanical HVAC experience. Institutional and healthcare design experience is a must
  • Experience with BMS controls design and specification required
  • Experience managing projects with minimal supervision
  • Experience implementing sustainable design/LEED®projects is an asset.
  • Sound communication skills as demonstrated through client and staff relations
  • LEED®accreditation would also be considered an asset
  • A senior C.E.T. with equivalent experience and abilities will also be considered
