Stantec is One Team providing Infinite Opportunities. Responsibilities:A senior leadership position is available as PC Managing Leader (PCML) for the GTA Buildings Engineering Group.
As PCML the successful candidate:
• Organizes and supervises the work of a technical team in the planning, design, processing and construction support of building engineering projects • Supervises the preparation of engineering drawings and specifications, cost estimates and preliminary and final reports • Performs project management duties on major engineering projects including client and subconsultant coordination; makes presentations to city council and boards when necessary; attends client meetings; visits job sites • Responsible for the Practice Centre financial performance meeting operational budgets and all Key Performance Indicators • Responsible for project budgets, estimates, cost controls and schedules • Manages and controls subconsultant contracts • Organizes and maintains project files; oversees the preparation of monthly billing • Conducts performance appraisals; assists in the hiring of staff; and is responsible for staff development and disciplinary actions • Prepares annual PC operational budget, coordinate and oversee CDPR process, prepare annual compensation recommendations • Performs marketing of clients, negotiating with client and/or on behalf of client, etc. Qualifications:• 10 years of senior level project management experience; including ability to organize and supervise work of other engineers, designers and draftsmen • LEED Accreditation preferred • Education equivalent to graduation from college with an emphasis on mechanical, electrical, structural engineering, or equivalent work experience • Strong ability to develop business and promote business relationships • Excellent organization, coordination, managerial and "people" skills • Excellent technical writing skills; capable of writing reports, letters and technical specifications. Excellent verbal communication skills • Project management certification (PMP) is preferred • Possess valid drivers license and clean driving record |
