Responsibilities:

Stantec’s Ontario-based IAM Solutions team is seeking Intermediate /Senior Technical Reviewers for Capital Planning Projects.  The positions will be based in our Ottawa, Mississauga, Toronto or Markham, Ontario offices. 

 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing Building Condition Assessment (BCA) reports and/or Design Specifications for capital planning, finance, pre-purchase property condition assessments, and small-scale design/renewal initiatives.  Experience with costing and implementing capital equipment replacements is a significant asset. 
Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Candidate must be a registered Professional Engineer or licensed Architect in the province of Ontario
  • The ideal candidate will have 7 to 10 years of experience in Buildings related Mechanical/Electrical Engineering; Civil/Structural Engineering; or Architecture related experience.
  • Preference will be given to candidate with experience providing BCAs/site assessments
  • Demonstrated skill at organizing and planning for work within tight deadlines while maintaining attention to details
  • Experienced at demonstrating sound judgment and common sense at work
  • Experienced at working well in a team environment
  • Multi-site / Multi-discipline Project Management experience is an asset.
  • Construction Estimation and/or Project Management experience is an asset.
  • Strong English Language verbal and writing/editing skills are essential.
  • French language writing/editing skills are not required but are considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of National and Ontario Building and Fire Codes would be an asset.
