We currently have openings in our Commercial Program Development group. We provide turnkey retail design, program management and permitting solutions to bring our clients' brands and critical mass to market. Our professionals help clients to achieve strong branding and market penetration by adapting prototypical facility designs for each unique site, and by creating design solutions that meet the multi-faceted needs of clients, developers, and jurisdictions. Our services address all phases of a project including site analysis and planning, preliminary design, securing planning approvals and permits, preparing construction drawings and specifications, and bidding and project management services. Responsibilities:
  •  Under the direction of Project Manager, assists in all design and/or production aspects in areas of routine project development. Can assist in routine project architect responsibilities; materials research, detail development and communications with consultants.
  •  Under direction of Project Manager, carries out the design and/or production aspects of small projects or parts of the design of larger, complex projects.
  • Coordinates closely with the project team regarding design and production concepts.
  • Coordinates closely with Project Manager regarding production standards and procedures as well as technical requirements.

Has advanced CADD skills including advanced level understanding

Qualifications:

 

Graduate of an accredited architectural or interior design school with a minimum of four years diverse experience with an increasing level of responsibility in an architectural office.  Experience in a Retail/Commercial (architecture) office preferred.

 

In lieu of a degree in architecture or interior design, a minimum of 3 years experience in architecture required. Academic training in architecture or interior design may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis.

 

Basic knowledge of architectural practices. Basic experience in design development. Ability to interpret plans and specifications. Ability to perform preliminary site planning analysis programming and planning research. Basic knowledge of codes and ordinances. Capability to perform routine architectural drafting in addition to solving design and detail problems under direct supervision.
