Job Description: 

Net Impact is looking for a temporary, on-site contractor to support us as we implement a new Plone-based website. Working with the Marketing & Communications Team, the contractor will be responsible for inputting content into the Plone CMS and ensuring that each new page adheres to approved styles, layouts, etc. In addition, this person will help the team troubleshoot any technical/code problems as they arise.

This individual is strong in HTML and CSS, and has a proven track record of producing beautiful web pages. This person also likely has some web design experience; only candidates who can demonstrate their attention to detail and strong eye for web layout will be considered.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Transfer content, including text and photos provided by the Net Impact marketing team, into new website
  • Troubleshoot issues with code to fix pages that don't look aesthetically pleasing
  • Code new html email templates to match new website and brand
  • Edit images to fit approved spaces on site
  • Build image slideshows
  • Ensure RSS feeds function appropriately
  • Test pages in multiple browsers to ensure a quality experience for all site visitors 

Qualifications
We are looking for someone with all or most of the following experience:

  • HTML and CSS required; experience in programming languages such as Python a plus
  • Experience writing accessible and compliant code
  • Image editing experience with Photoshop
  • CMS experience; familiarity with Plone a plus
  • Experience setting up more advanced Google analytics a plus
