Job Description:  Overview:

We collaborate on developing innovative solutions for complex projects in the areas of advanced water and wastewater process design, water supply, conveyance, pumping, and storage.

Responsibilities:

Position requires the ability to handle significant project responsibilities, client and government agency coordination, and to effectively work with other Stantec team members. Responsibilities include the design and preparation of open channel, storm drain and other flood control facility construction documents. Other responsibilities include the preparation of storm water drainage master plans, FEMA CLOMR and LOMR documents, and technical report writing. Strong skills in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling are required (this includes HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and FLO-2D). Skills in using  GIS is a plus. Although the position is based in Phoenix, there may be opportunities to work on projects throughout North America if you choose.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 6 years experience in hydrology, hydraulics and water resources planning and permitting, preferably in Arizona but definitely in the US
  • Experience leading and mentoring junior and senior staff of various disciplines
  • Experience dealing with public agencies for reviews and approvals
  • Comfort and experience dealing with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Possession of Arizona Professional Registration as a Civil Engineer or the proven ability to become registered
  • Proficiency in HEC modeling, FLO-2D and GIS
  • Experience with storm water drainage master planning and design and FEMA floodplain regulations
  • An understanding of AutoCAD and MS Office products
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
