Apple Pond Farm and Renewable Energy Education Center has an immediate opening for a sustainability apprentice. This is a fast pace, hands on opportunity to work with local and county governments,schools, civic organizations, businesses and residents on energy efficiency, renewable energy systems, farm to school programs. A stipend is available as well as board and room on an organic, energy independent farm which hosts the offices of Sullivan Alliance for Sustainable Development, that supervises this apprentice position. Staffing of SASD is a not for profit organization of Executive Director and apprentice plus staff attached to specific grants, Requirements for applicants: immediate availability, strong computer research and excell spread sheet experience, commitment of 9-12 months and dedication to sustainable living.
