The Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (MEEA) is a regional non-profit organization based in Chicago with a mission to advance energy efficiency in the Midwest to support sustainable economic development and environmental preservation. MEEA is a collective voice for energy efficiency at a national, regional and state level; develops and administers energy efficiency programs for the region; and fosters effective communication on energy efficiency policy. Position Summary: MEEA seeks a full time Senior Program Associate to support multiple energy efficiency training and education programs in the Midwest. Responsibilities: Assist program management staff in development, day-to-day operations and administration of MEEA programs, especially training and education programs Interact with and provide timely program support to utility sponsors and program partners Serve as initial point-of-contact for inquiries from program participants, partners, and sponsors Assist with grant management including, preparation of program progress reports and required financial backup Prepare and submit monthly or quarterly financial reports, reimbursement requests, and invoices as required by grant and program sponsor agreements Serve as contact for contracted program implementers and program instructors, coordinating activities and processing invoices for payment Develop content, edit, and maintain program websites Maintain a calendar of program activities including trainings, workshops, and events Coordinate events and all logistics for meetings and travel associated with training and education programs Upload supporting documents to SharePoint (a collaboration software) as needed Assist program partners in database management, direct and email marketing activities, and overall communication Ensure program partner compliance with confidentiality requirements, travel guidelines, etc. Write program summaries and updates for MEEA reports, newsletter and blog Maintain relationships with public and private sector organizations and companies in the energy sector, including MEEA members, energy organizations and utilities Represent MEEA and MEEA’s programs at industry events and workshops and give presentations as needed Provide administrative support to the Director of Programs and Program staff as needed Available for some travel, mostly in the MidwestRequired Qualifications: B.A. or B.S. in engineering, building science, environmental science, natural resource management, political science, or marketing/communications Training or certification in building science or energy efficiency (BPI, RESNET, LEED AP) etc. a plus Minimum three years of experience in administrative or professional support capacity Minimum one year of experience in building science, utility programs, engineering or other applicable discipline Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proven experience in public speaking and interacting with clients and sponsors Excellent project management skills Superior organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while prioritizing competing responsibilities High attention to detail Outgoing, energetic team player willing to take initiative Computer literate including database and computer experience including Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in website updating and content management a plus. Compensation: The compensation for this position will be commensurate with experience. MEEA offers a full package of benefits.
