Our office in Saskatoon Saskatchewan is currently seeking a Civil (CAD) Technologist to join our mutlidisiplinary team.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to a Project Manager, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Preparing engineering drawings for municipal and urban land projects with AutoCAD, and Civil 3D
  • Preparing plan, profile, grading and section drawings for water and wastewater mains, roadways, drainage channels, and lots.
  • Preparing presentation graphics and report figures
  • Coordinating project drawings with project managers, technical staff and others
  • Ensuring that the projects' needs are met in a timely and effective manner
  • Understanding, and adhering to Stantec standards
  • Preparing conceptual and final grading, servicing and road design
  • Completing earthwork quantity analyses, servicing design calculations, application forms and submission packages, etc.
  • Assisting in the completion of technical design reports
  • Organizing and maintaining a design and CAD digital file database for each project
Qualifications:

As the successful candidate you will possess the following:

  • A CAD Technologist Diploma/Civil Technologist Diploma
  • 3-5 years of related experience with AutoCAD, particularly with  paper space/model space, and external references
  • Design experience and digital draftsman experience 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of AutoDesk Land Development Desktop/Civil 3D will be a definite advantage
  • Experience and familiarity with municipal and water resources disciplines and/or an education background in these areas would be considered assets
  • Strong communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities and a willingness to work in a team atmosphere
  • Highly organized, have significant attention to detail, are able to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments
  • Experience with MS Office Suite including Word, Excel and Power Point
