Our Red Deer office has an opportunity for a Municipal/Environmental Engineer to work in our Water group. As the successful candidate, you will use your technical abilities to plan and design all aspects of water and wastewater systems in a dynamic design team setting. You are an excellent communicator with strong organizational and leadership skills. This is a work environment where your abilities will strengthen and grow through a diverse range of projects focused on the delivery and management of sustainable water and wastewater infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the folowing:

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to undertake design of water and/or wastewater systems and oversee the preparation of construction drawings.
  • Undertake wastewater and/or water system planning and design.
  • Liaise with clients and other consultants.
  • Prepare economic analysis for water and/or wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare construction specifications, tender documents, and applications for approvals etc.
  • Research issues related to water and wastewater resources that impact individual projects.
  • Ensure that the projects' needs are met in a timely and effective manner.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with a background in water and /or wastewater systems from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in the design and construction of water and/or wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in the province of Alberta.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and projects.

Located in Central Alberta, the Red Deer office has a vibrant environment with excellent opportunities for professional growth.
