Responsibilities:

Stantec's office in Red Deer is currently seeking an Intermediate /Senior Buildings Mechanical Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role you will be responsible for the design and execution of projects with a diverse spectrum ranging in size and complexity, mainly in the commercial and light industrial sectors.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree from an accredited university
  • Professional Engineering designation with APEGGA or another province
  • Minimum of 6 years Mechanical HVAC experience, preferably in the commercial /retail sector
  • Demonstrated competency in HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and other fields in mechanical engineering
  • Experience implementing sustainable design/LEED ® projects
  • Sound communication skills as demonstrated through client and staff relations
  • Project Management experience would be considered an asset
  • LEED ® or Certified Energy Manager accreditation would also be considered an asset
