BHEEnvironmental, Inc., a multidisciplinary environmental consulting firm has an immediate opening in our Cincinnati office for the VP/Director of our Natural Resources Management Group.
Position requires a degree (MS or PhD preferred) in biology, botany, zoology, wildlife biology or related environmental/natural science discipline and 10+ years of experience. Prior consulting experience is also required. Successful applicant will have a strong applied technical knowledge of, and management experience with regulatory compliance projects focusing upon NEPA (EA, EIS), CWA (§404 and §401 permitting), andESA(§7 and §10), and be familiar with the compliance and planning needs of agencies including DoD, FERC, and state DOTs. Experience should reflect capabilities in designing and managing linear corridor and renewable energy (wind power) projects, private real property development projects, and federal (Department of Defense) resource conservation programs. Ability to maintain a disciplined, hard work schedule and demonstrated highest ethical and professional history are required.
Responsibilities will include client development, generation of revenue-producing projects through business development, provision of effective and consistent Group leadership, overall managerial direction and administration, specific program and project management, and attainment of personal and Group financial performance standards. Demonstrated ability to communicate is a must as well as establishing a cooperative and effective working relationship with co-workers and supervisors. This role carries the responsibility of Group Strategic Planning; overall Group safety and productivity; conformity with established corporate strategies, policies and procedures; profitability; client satisfaction (repeat business) and quality of work. The successful candidate will oversee the group’s business planning through project execution, the professional and personal development of staff, and employee relations.
This position requires excellent planning, organizational, direction and control skills; strong oral and written communication skills; the ability to work well with others, as well as working independently to accomplish duties with minimal supervision; and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced/high pressure environment with a commitment to outstanding customer service.
