Job Description: 

The Energy Center of Wisconsin is seeking a mid-level researcher to assist with energy efficiency research projects. The Energy Center is a private non-profit organization that is mission-focused, independent, and objective. We conduct research and perform policy analysis for a variety of clients including state and federal agencies, investor-owned and publicly-owned utilities, environmental organizations, and philanthropic foundations.
Data and facts are the principal drivers of our analyses. We value both reason and creativity in seeking practical solution paths to complex energy problems. The ideal candidate for this position will be comfortable in a fast-paced, intellectually stimulating environment. He or she will be able to deliver results under pressure and be capable of managing conflicting demands.
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis in support of energy efficiency program evaluations, field research, and market research
Identify and solve problems during project implementation
Assist in developing recommendations for clients
Organize, clean, analyze and document data for energy-related research projects
Prepare written reports and Power Point presentations
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
Three years of experience in energy efficiency analysis or a related area
Knowledge of basic social science research principles
Knowledge of statistical methods
Well-developed spreadsheet skills
Excellent communications skills
Desirable Experience or Qualifications:
Advanced degree
In-depth knowledge of energy efficiency programs and issues
Public presentations
