Our Environmental Management group is dedicated to managing environmental issues professionally and proactively. Our staff of professionals includes specialists in soil science, agronomics, plant, wildlife and aquatic biology, natural resource management, environmental site assessment and remediation, HAZMAT, GIS, and information management. We help our clients to identify and respond to opportunities and threats within constantly changing regulatory and corporate environments.

 

 

 

We are currently recruiting for a Soil Scientist and Project Manager for our Environmental Management team in Winnipeg, MB. The Project Manager will collaborate with other members of the Environmental Management team locally, regionally and nationally to assist in project delivery. Project scope will range from small and local to large and multi-disciplinary projects. The Project Manager will manage projects in the Environmental Management, Environmental Remediation, Hazardous Materials and Industrial Hygiene service areas.

 

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Participates in defining scope with the project team applying appropriate standards, guidelines, regulations and procedures to ensure all of the work and only the work required to complete the project is included in the baseline.
  • Supports the identification and formalization required for communication flows to project stakeholders including team members, management, program and functional organizations.
  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of project and scope.
  • Monitors milestones and task activities to ensure timely completion of project.
  • Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Assists in the proposal efforts including completing project scoping and LOE assessments.
  • Tracks and reports team hours and expenses on a weekly basis.
  • Assists in the development of timely and accurate invoicing, and monitoring of receivables for project.
  • Conducts limited field activities, from time to time, as required.
Qualifications:
  • M.Sc. in Soil Science or related field
  • Understanding of environmental issues affecting soils
  • Experience conducting and coordinating field work
  • Strong data analysis and technical reporting skills
  • Understanding of the regulatory environment in Manitoba
  • Eligibility for registration as a Professional Agrologist with the Manitoba Institute of Agrologists
