AEA seeks to add a Green Building Analyst to its growing Green New Construction team, which provides energy-efficiency design and construction solutions to affordable housing developers in New York State. The Green Building Analyst assists in providing building owners and developers with expertise that promotes high energy performance with a vision toward green or sustainable building design. (For more information, see Green New Construction.) Responsibilities: Under supervision, the Green Building Analyst is responsible for energy modeling of residential new construction projects. The Green Building Analyst collaborates in energy modeling with a variety of internal and external parties with a vision toward developing and implementing residential new construction projects. She or he evaluates new multifamily building designs and makes design recommendations to reduce energy consumption and minimize negative environmental impact. Responsibilities include the following, and are subject to change as needed: * Develop energy-efficient multifamily building design proposals by using computer software to analyze building design in order to maximize energy efficiency and minimize negative environmental impact Qualifications/Skills: * B.A. or B.S. with a major in Engineering, Architecture, Energy Management, Environmental Sciences, Urban Planning, etc.
