What we need: A self-starting Defender of the Office, who can singlehandedly keep a remote staff of 35 nonprofiteers and many more vendors paid, insured, in line, out of trouble, underbudget and overhappy. You'll also be the front line of support for our charming, super-busy executive director. You'll work in the nerve center of a decentralized national organization, putting out fires well before they get going and greasing the wheels for our work nationwide. You're a master of all things Quickbooks, a champion of logistical detangling, excellent at solving sensitive HR problems and finding smart ways to get more out of less. Some problems you might face: We're having an emergency road-side problem with a Zip Car in North Carolina a remote educator calls you for support. Major areas where we need you to dominate: Make every internal event problem-free and awesome. 2+ years of office management experience. We need a pro. The national leader in high school climate education, ACE delivers award-winning multimedia assemblies on climate science and solutions to high schools nationwide, with more than 830,000 high school students served in two years. After the assembly, we help students kickstart Action Teams to take on carbon-cutting projects, anything from starting a recycling club to solarizing their school. We're a young, dynamic nonprofit organization off to the races on making a complex subject relevant, interesting and fun. We're data-centric and tech-savvy, nimble and creative, passionate and results-oriented. We have a resident Fun Team and an impressive professional development budget. We want to help great people get greater-and make ACE terrific. More at http://acespace.org. To apply: Resume and pithy cover letter to pic.walker@climateeducation.org. Bonus points if you make us laugh, especially with an Excel joke. -Include a problem you've solved recently, including measurable results; and/or -Describe a money-saving innovation you proposed and implemented.
Please include a salary range so we don't waste your time.
