The ongoing success of our team allows you to set the pace of your career. Responsibilities:Working in our North Bay office, you will assume the role of Intermediate Structural Engineer. Working within a dynamic team of technologists and engineers, you will support project teams and deliver detail design engineering for drawings and specifications for mine infrastructure projects. Typical projects involve mine hoisting shafts and headframes, hoist house / foundations, ore handling systems and related mine infrastructure. Additional duties could include project management, on site/shop inspections, construction assistance, and client liaison. Qualifications: As the ideal candidate you possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited university and have 5+ years of applicable heavy industrial/mining structural experience. You are a licensed Professional Engineer in Canada and have excellent knowledge of applicable design codes. You have experience in the engineering, design and specification of heavy concrete/steel structures and material handling systems. Specific experience with the following mine related infrastructure is an asset: mine headframes, underground conveyors, bins, loading pockets, crushers and rock breakers, lifting devices, hoists, industrial buildings, and mine shafts. Understanding of various software application tools including the use of STAAD Pro (or equivalent structural analysis software). Experience in underground mining and familiarity with Mine Health and Safety Regulations are also an asset. You possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with excellent interpersonal abilities and willingness to work in a team atmosphere.
