The Executive Director is responsible for overall leadership and management of the Environmental Resource Center (ERC), including ensuring the coordinated development and implementation of: Programs that further its mission;
DUTIES: 1. Ensures that the ERC's program set is consistent with the ERC's strategic plan and delivers the highest quality programs that are possible. 2. Ensures that the ERC's human and financial resources sufficiently match the scope of work at hand. 3. Ensures the sound reputation of the ERC within the community. 4. Ensures the high profile of the ERC's presence and value to the community. 5. Ensures the successful implementation of the ERC's development plan in conjunction with Board and development staff. 6. Works with the Board and staff accountant to develop an annual budget, issue regular financial reports and maintain a fiscally responsible organization. 7. Ensure the efficient and effective administration of the ERC, including all office equipment, administrative systems and procedures and office policies and procedures. 8. Coordinates with the Board of Directors to facilitate their efforts and ensure sound communication about key organizational matters. 9. Oversees all personnel to ensure that the above duties are fulfilled. Qualifications: 1. Minimum bachelor's degree and 5 years successful experience working in the environmental, sustainability, education and/or administrative fields or other related experience. 2. Excellent organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail. Ability to work independently and efficiently with a minimum of supervision. Experience setting priorities and managing a variety of tasks. 3. Ability to deal effectively and personably with a variety of people, including members, directors, staff and the general public. Good telephone manner and interpersonal skills. 4. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and internet resources and research skills. 5. Ability to problem solve problems, even those in which the individual has little background. 6. Desire to be a team player and belief in the goals of the Environmental Resource Center.
