Responsibilities:

Stantec's St. John's, NF office is currently looking for Structural Designers/Technologists.  These individuals will be skilled problem-solvers with a strong attention to detail. This is a dynamic work environment where you will play a pivotal role in a diverse range of projects, from initial planning to design and construction.

 

These positions are of interest to self-directed individuals.  The individual will be expected to work independently on mechanical design as an integrated member of an interdisciplinary design team.  Responsibilities for structural applicants include design of systems for commercial, industrial, institutional, public and private facilities.

Qualifications:
  • The successful candidate should possess a certificate in structural technology from a technical college.
  • Strong communication skills and a strong attention to detail are essential.
  • Experience with the application of relevant building design codes is essential.
  • Green Technology knowledge or LEED certified professional is an asset.
  • Experience creating tender document packages including drawings and specifications an asset.
  • Experience with engineering software applications such as AutoCAD, and other tools will be a definite asset.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office will be beneficial in this role.
