Title: Builder Outreach Coordinator Location: Earth Advantage Institute 808 SW 3rd Ave, Ste 800, Portland OR 97204 Classification: Full time, non-exempt (based on 40 hours per week) Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Job Close Date: Open until filled. Position Start: Tentatively planned for 2nd Quarter 2011 Reports To: Builder Outreach Program Manager
About Earth Advantage Institute Earth Advantage Institute is a nonprofit organization that works with the building industry to implement sustainable building practices. Its mission is to create an immediate, practical, and cost-effective path to sustainability and to the reduction of carbon in the built environment. The organization achieves its objectives through an innovative range of programs for industry professionals, including certification of high performance homes, remodels, sustainable communities, and commercial spaces. These programs are supported by an education department, which offers basic and advanced courses on building, marketing, and valuing green homes; and by a technical services team that provides a variety of onsite tests and energy audits. Position Purpose This position is funded by Energy Trust of Oregon to provide telephonic outreach to new home permit holders for the purpose of qualifying their intention to build above energy code projects and obtain an Energy Performance Score.
