The ongoing success of our team allows you to set the pace of your career. Responsibilities:Working in our Sudbury, Ontario office, you will assume the role of Senior Structural Engineer.
Working within a dynamic team of technologists and engineers, you will lead project teams and deliver detail design engineering for drawings and specifications for mine infrastructure projects.
Typical projects involve heavy industrial infrastructure, material handling systems and mine related infrastructure.
Additional duties could include on site/shop inspections, construction assistance, and client liaison. Qualifications:As the ideal candidate you possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited university and have 10+ years of applicable heavy industrial experience (mining related structural experience would be an asset).
You are a licensed Professional Engineer in Canada and have excellent knowledge of applicable design codes.
Specific experience in design for heavy industrial projects including structural steel and reinforced concrete is required.
Understanding of various application tools including the use of STAAD (or equivalent structural analysis software).
Being able to take the lead on a project team is essential.
You possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with excellent interpersonal abilities and willingness to work in a team atmosphere.
