Our Regina, Saskatchewan office has an exciting opportunity for a Structural Engineering Technologist to join the team!

Responsibilities:

As the successful candidate your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Production of engineering drawings for a broad range of design areas such as:
    • General arrangements;
    • Structural steel and concrete layout and detail drawings;
  • Data collection and verification in our clients’ facilities;
  • Interference checking using 3D technology;
  • Building finishes layout and detail drawings including masonry, cladding and roofing;
  • Specification of materials;
  • Estimating and bill of materials preparation;
  • Drawing interpretation;
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is required;
  • Experience with any of the following are aonsidered definite assets:
    • 3D modeling, AutoPlant;
    • Structural Steel modeling, Prosteel;
    • Microstation and related software;
  • Ability to develop layouts and details and work independently;
  • Site investigation and data collection in heavy industrial settings;
  • Work assignments at our clients’ manufacturing and processing facilities;
Qualifications:

As the successful candidate your qualifications may include but are not limited to:

  • 5-10 years experience in structural engineering technology required;
  • Graduate from a recognized engineering technology program or drafting course;
  • Eligible for membership in the engineering technology association of province of residency;
  • Individual must be self-motivated, team oriented and a good communicator;
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork and organizational skills are required for this work;
