Western Pennsylvania Conservancy is seeking a program assistant to support the director, staff, and operations of the Natural Heritage Program. The Pennsylvania Natural Heritage Program at WPC collects data on rare plants, animals, and natural communities in Pennsylvania and maintains a statewide database that is used for project permitting and conservation planning. The program assistant is responsible for maintaining administrative records relating to grants, proposals, and other aspects of program operations, coordinating with other WPC staff to facilitate program operations, assisting with quality control of proposals and reports, assisting with meeting and other operational logistics, communicating the program's work to partners and the public, and providing additional administrative and project support as needed. Bachelor's degree with job experience in program administration required. Applicant must have strong organizational, clerical, and communication skills. Attention to detail and command of Microsoft Office applications are essential. Accounting or grant management experience helpful. Background in biology or natural resources helpful and desirable. Position is full time, but part-time and/or flexible work arrangements are possible.
