Responsibilities: We are currently looking for a Senior Inspector for our Woodland Hills office team to work at MTA on the El Monte busway. In this position, you will: - Conduct Quality Control inspections in accordance with Metro's Quality Control Inspection Instructions (QCII's).
- Perform direct inspection and documentation of material certification, installation practices, measuring, testing, and all other related field activities to verify attainment of the level of quality specified.
- Review and coordinate verification testing.
- Verify the compliance of all materials, equipment and construction with contract requirements.
- Schedule and coordinate the effective use of inspection resources in support of RE day-to-day inspector requirements.
- Complete inspectors' daily inspection reports for inspection coverage and quality concerns and initiate resolution to quality problems, as appropriate.
- Document and track the resolution of non-conforming conditions identified during inspection.
- Assist in the development and resolution of final punchlist items.
- Assist in the review of Construction Work Plans (CWPs) and participate in Readiness Review Meetings.
Qualifications: • 10 year's experience as a General Contractor, Building Construction Supervisor, Building Inspector of large commercial or industrial construction projects, heavy construction projects, transportation, or transit construction projects for the appropriate discipline. • ICBO Certificate of Reinforced Concrete or Masonry, ACI Registered Construction Inspector License or comparable Deputy Inspection License for a county or city agency. NICET is an acceptable substitute for ICBO or ACI.
