Job Description: 

CET seeks qualified field staff to work in the MassSAVE program. This is a statewide effort to improve the energy efficiency of homes. This position involves air sealing the attics and basements in our customer's homes. Air sealing reduces drafts and makes homes more comfortable and energy efficient.
Responsibilities:

Making calls to air sealing customers to make sure they are prepared for the visit
Completing one or two air sealing jobs per day - each job may be between 2 and 10 hours long
Selecting and installing appropriate air sealing materials for the job
Following all safety and installation standards
Running blower door tests to determine the leakiness of customer's home
Performing air sealing in attics and basements using caulk, foam, metal flashing, and reflectex - most of the work occurs in the attic
Installing weather-stripping, door sweeps, and caulking inside homes
Running combustion safety tests
Calculating areas, volumes, and other specifications
Tracking materials used, time spent, and air tightness achieved
Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs
Experience and other requirements:
Experience in home construction/renovation
Customer service experience
Knowledge of basic tool use
Ability to pass drug screening, driving record check and criminal background check
Reliable, hardworking, trustworthy
Good math skills including geometry
Ability to work in attics, crawlspaces, and on ladders (involves ability to work in hot and cold temperatures, good balance, and ability to crawl and kneel for extended periods of time)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Valid MA driver's license and good driving record
Passion for the environment and community involvement
This is a full-time hourly position with benefits located out of our Northampton office. CET offers competitive pay rates and a comprehensive health plan which pays approximately 60% of the individual's health insurance costs. New employees are eligible for dental insurance; accrue 10 days of paid vacation leave per year, 9 sick days and CET offers 12 paid holidays.
