Position Title: Policy Associate (National) Reports To: Policy Director, with guidance from the National Political Director About Green For All Green For All is a national organization dedicated to building an inclusive green economy strong enough to lift people out of poverty. Green for All advocates for local, state and federal policies and funding for quality job creation, training, and entrepreneurial opportunities in the emerging green economy. Green for All is developing a community of practice to engage people from every sector of society in (1) collaborating to build a green economy that works for all by sharing innovation, best practices and leveraging each other up, and (2) strategically participating to advance major policy initiatives that fight both poverty and pollution at the same time. For more information about Green For All go to: www.greenforall.org/about-us Policy Associate (National) - Position Summary We are seeking a creative, experienced Policy Associate who will be responsible for supporting efforts to win concrete program and policy changes that support the development of an inclusive green economy. The Policy Associate will contribute to policy analysis, research, and development, and will build and strengthen partnerships to advance to federal and state policy advocacy efforts. Successful candidates will be self-motivated with experience and skills in policy development, advocacy and organizing. They will be able to work effectively within a fast-paced environment that requires adaptability and a sense of humor. The Policy Associate reports to the National Policy Director with direction and support from the National Political Director. The Policy Associate works as part of a passionate and strategic Political and Policy Team. Primary Responsibilities Policy Analysis and Development * Perform policy analysis and research. Provide analytical reviews and summaries of existing literature pertinent to Green Economy.
Policy Advocacy and Partnerships * Support day-to-day operations of Green for All's policy advocacy efforts.
Other duties as needed and assigned. Experience & Qualifications * 3-5 years experience in policy development/advocacy in one or (preferably) more of the following policy areas: energy, environment, economic development, workforce development, and anti-poverty.
