Position Title: Online Engagement Associate Reports To: Internet Director (works closely with the Communications Director) Location: Washington, D.C., or Oakland, CA This is NOT a telecommuting position. Compensation: Full-time, compensation commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits package. We are looking for an experienced Online Engagement Associate to join our Internet team. The ideal candidate is an Internet savvy professional, experienced with new and social media, email outreach, online advocacy and fundraising, online-to-offline mobilization strategies, and creating innovate campaigns to grow our online community and presence. The Online Engagement Associate will serve in a key communications capacity for the Internet team and produce a steady content stream for Green For All's social networks, blog and other online presence. This position will build relationships with and conduct outreach to key online news and media outlets to promote Green For All's campaigns and content. A successful candidate must be able to work efficiently and with a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment that requires adaptability to shifting priorities, a keen sense of urgency, and a commitment to excellence. Primary Responsibilities: * Expand and manage Green For All's presence on Facebook, Twitter, other key social networking sites and blogs
* 2-5 years online organizing, campaigning or communications experience
* Familiarity with the green economy, particularly as it relates to the empowerment of low-income communities, is a plus
