Climate Solutions is seeking a Database Manager to oversee the functioning and data
management of a customized Salesforce database.
This position is supervised by the Director of Administration and Finance and is located
in either Olympia or Seattle.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversee all aspects of the Climate Solutions' Salesforce database including data
management, database design, data entry, field creation, reporting, formatting, and
clean up.
• Ensure that data systems are fully functioning in support of our campaign,
communications and development departments.
• Collaborate with CS staff to enhance usability and data tracking.
• Create and implement a data management plan
• Perform maintenance of the database
• Write and implement and database users' guide
• Document all activities and procedures
• Enter and import data

• Train database users and provide technical support as needed for CS staff and
volunteers.
• Ensure all information and records are accurate and confidential.
• Additional duties may be assigned within the course of the work
QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills and Knowledge:
• Strong relational database skills
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Fast, efficient data entry skills.
• Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with employees in different roles and
with varying skill‐sets.
• Strong attention to detail.
• A high level of patience.
• Exceptional written and verbal skills
• Strong commitment to the mission and vision of Climate Solutions
• Ability to operate desktop computer, including word processing, spreadsheet,
database, and specialized software applications in a network environment
Experience:
• Two years experience working with a relational database, both in database design
and data management.
• Experience in establishing a data management plan.
• 1 year experience in technical writing
• 1 year experience providing training and guidance to adults.
• Experience with Salesforce and Vertical Response strongly preferred.
REMUNERATION
This is a temporary, 0.6 FTE position and is being offered at $19.00 per hour. No
benefits are associated with this position.
