Overview: Stantec's Surveys/Geomatics team consists of a large and diverse group with capabilities across North America. Using conventional, GPS, robotic, and 3D laser scanning techniques, Stantec offers both public and private sector clients the full range of services including boundary surveying, topographic mapping, construction layout, geodetic and control surveys, aerial photogrammetry, GIS services, route surveys, as-builts, and more. Responsibilities: Stantec Consulting is seeking a Field Survey Party Chief with a minimum of 10 years field and/or office experience with a minimum of 5 years experience in the field working as a survey party chief. The candidate must be comfortable performing construction staking, geodetic surveys, boundary surveys, and topographic surveys. Other skills required are; project management capabilities, use of a personal computer, and good communication abilities. The position requires experience with Trimble Data Collection, robotics, GPS and Trimble Office software. Out of town travel is a possibility. Registration as an LSIT or PLS is preferred but not required. Qualifications: Other skills required are; project management capabilities, use of a personal computer, and good communication abilities.
