Overview: Stantec's environmental remediation solutions help our clients address environmental liability. Stantec's team of scientists, engineers, and geologists helps our clients reduce their environmental liabilities by developing and implementing comprehensive remediation programs. We provide integrated, multidisciplinary services to identify and assess liabilities and risks, and to develop solutions for site management, remediation, and mitigation.

Our team of professionals is experienced in environmental health and safety assessments and monitoring; hydrogeological and soil investigations; comprehensive in-situ/ex-situ remedial design and implementation; human health and ecological risk assessments; air quality permitting and reporting; pipeline compliance; stormwater permitting and planning; corrective maintenance, monitoring, closure, and decommissioning activities; and audit support services.
Stantec understands the issues inherent to a particular sector, and we provide remediation solutions to our clients in many markets, including energy, oil and gas, chemicals, manufacturing, transportation, mining, and pulp and paper. Our primary objectives are reducing long term liabilities and removing potential risk to people and the environment, while ensuring technical and cost efficiencies for our clients.
Responsibilities: The Stantec Thousand Oaks office is looking for a project level engineer or scientist to assist with a variety of environmental assessment and monitoring projects. It is anticipated that the position will be a mix of field and office duties.
Qualifications: - B.S. Science or Engineering.
- The candidate should be appropriately skilled within their area of technical expertise (science or engineering), which will include 3-4 years of experience with environmental field assessment and construction oversight protocols.
- The candidate must possess 40-hour OSHA health and safety training and have an excellent record of H&S practices, and be current with annual refresher training.
- The candidate will need to be organized, and display good writing of technical documents.
