Job Description: 

The Marketing Associate will provide administrative and organizational support to the Division Director of Marketing and Communications. Tasks will include drafting and word-processing documents, creating and maintaining files, coordinating appointments, and assisting with special events. As associate to the Marketing Director, the Associate will assist with all aspects of the Marketing activities including the implementation of outreach, marketing, and media strategies to promote TPL's mission and goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Administrative/Project/Event Support 80%

Project /Event management of local TPL marketing support - ensuring projects are completed on time and on budget.
Collaborate with Director on formulation of marketing strategies
Oversight of the status of marketing projects
Collaborate with Marketing Director to prioritize tasks
Oversight of budgets and marketing production costs
Administration of record keeping
Collaborate with the Marketing Director on the drafting of marketing proposals, event outlines and production schedules.
Discuss products, services and advertising requirements of each project/event
Co-present marketing materials internally for approval or modification
Schedule external and internal appointments
Set up meetings with TPL staff and other outside consultants or partners
Support and/or assist in the facilitation of marketing meetings.
Coordinate marketing activities with related internal and external stakeholders.
Brief media, creative and research consultants, as required.
Act as a liaison between TPL division offices, external consultants - ensuring that communication flows effectively.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES 20%

Support and develop new organizational systems where needed.
Gain and maintain familiarity with changes in the nature of TPL's mission, business culture and competition
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma/vocational degree required.
Minimum one year experience as administrative associate.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of standard office procedures and use of office equipment.
Experience with computers and software programs
Flexible work habits; ability to work under pressure with attention to detail with minimum supervision.
Strong organizational skill and ability to accomplish multiple tasks; prompt; dependable.
Excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, promptness and dependability.
Experience with special events a plus.
Should have a driver's license and willing to drive to special events.
