The AMC is seeking a highly motivated and professional individual to serve as Trails Supervisor, to be based out of the AMC's Pinkham Notch, NH facility. The Trail Supervisor is part of a team of highly skilled and dedicated individuals that manage and maintain over 350 miles of non-motorized trails primarily in New Hampshire's White Mountains and the Mahoosuc Mountains of Maine. The Trails Supervisor also works with other non-profit organizations; State and Federal agencies and conservation organizations overseeing trail construction, layout and maintenance projects on a contract basis. The Trails Supervisor (TS) is primarily responsible for the planning, training and field oversight of the staff and work of the Professional Trail Crew program throughout New England. The TS is also responsible for project logistics, trail layout, trail signing and trails facilities maintenance while insuring that work is preformed to the highest of standards. Additional duties include assessing trail work needs and field consultations with Volunteer Trail Adopters and Volunteer trail workers. The Appalachian Mountain Club Trails Supervisor reports to the Director of Trails and Recreation Management. This full time, year round exempt position offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits.
