Looking to hire an experienced solar designer with outstanding communication, customer management and training skills. Our company is the leading global provider of PV and thermal design software to customers in over 70 countries for residential, commercial and utility scale systems. We have been providing designers and engineers with solar design tools for over 20 years. Headquartered in Europe, we opened our North American division last year in Southern California. This position will provde support and training to our North American customers. The Applications Engineer will be a critical part of our North American expansion.
Job Requirements: *3 years solar design experience with residential and commercial systems, preferably photovoltaic and solar thermal *Minimum 1 year training experience *Good understanding of NEC codes *Strong communication skills, both written and verbal *Customer support or business development experience desired but not required *German speaking an advantage, but not a requirement *Engineering degree preferred, but not required
Job Scope
Training *Develop training courseware, tutorials and webinars *Deliver webinar-based and live in-person trainings *Offer advanced demonstrations to strategic customers
End-user Support *Provide high-level technical support to advanced users
Business Development Assistance *Provide strategic prospects and customers with product information, support and training *Support our partner network of manufacturers, distributors, and educational providers
Product Development *Act as a technical liason between users, the solar industry and our internal software development team
