Job Description: 

The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) works to turn environmental values into national priorities. To secure the environmental future of our planet, LCV's mission is to advocate for sound environmental policies and to elect pro-environmental candidates who will adopt and implement such policies. LCV is seeking a New Media Manager for its Communications Department.

Summary:
The New Media Manager manages the day-to-day operation of LCV's website, blogs and social media networks. Working collaboratively with the communications, development and other departments, the New Media Manager develops, drives and implements online communications strategies to support the organization's programmatic and fundraising goals. The New Media Manager works under the direction of the Communications Director.

Responsibilities:
• Develop, drive and implement online communications strategies to engage key audiences.
• Oversee day-to-day maintenance of organizations' websites and blogs, which includes maintaining quality control and analyzing site performance.
• Develop and oversee a social media strategy, which includes Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Flickr.
• Manage targeted online advertising campaigns.
• Develop and produce web content, including microsites, graphics, images and online videos.
• Collaborate with fundraising staff and other departments to execute integrated, cross-departmental online campaigns.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Proven track record in managing innovative online organizing campaigns.
• Basic familiarity with and understanding of HTML and CSS languages.
• Experience with online advertising, including Google Adwords and Facebook ads.
• Proficiency analyzing and tracking web metrics and analytics to maximize online traffic and engagement.
• Basic image editing skills, including familiarity with Photoshop.
• Strong communications skills and a proven ability to write for the web.
• Ability to identify and quickly take advantage of opportunities that arise.
• Strong strategic thinking abilities and outstanding judgment.
• Experience managing multiple fast-paced, deadline-driven projects
• Ability to work effectively in a team structure and to contribute to a collaborative creative process.
• Experience with an advocacy or non-profit organization preferred.
• Minimum of 2-3 years relevant work experience and a bachelor's degree.
