The Biomimicry Group manages the extended enterpriseʼs operations and oversees its on-going and new ventures. BIOMIMICRY OVERVIEW Life has been performing design experiments in Earth's R&D lab for 3.85 billion years. What flourish on our planet today are Natureʼs best ideas—the ones that, through efficient use of energy, materials, and collaborative relationships, are best adapted to complex, contextual challenges. Whatever a company's design challenge, the odds are high that one or more of the world's 30 million creatures has evolved effective strategies to conquer a similar challenge. In 2009, the Harvard Business Review ranked biomimicry as one of its top twenty breakthrough Business Ideas.
