Job Description: 

Position Description:

Green Mountain Energy Company is seeking a Vendor Account Sales Manager with outstanding relationship building, sales and organizational skills.  This position will be responsible for managing assigned vendor(s) sales efforts for our retail/storefronts and events, and door to door sales channels in Houston, Texas.  The position's primary responsibility is to develop strong relationships with vendors to ensure that each assigned vendor is productive and contributes as expected towards exceeding monthly and annual sales targets while meeting quality standards.

  

Position Responsibilities:

 

  • Achieve sales targets of assigned vendor(s). Provide motivation and assist in sales planning.
  • Assist vendor(s) with managing staffing to selling opportunities.
  • Assist in assuring the quality of sales.
  • Must be willing to work in the field personally selling, training, and auditing sales agents.
  • Develop solid relationships with assigned vendor(s) to assure productive and consistent sales growth.
  • Respond to vendor(s) questions and issues as they arise. Leverage internal resources as necessary.
  • Acquire productive selling opportunities for assigned vendor(s) to include retail tabling opportunities and local area events.
  • Work with vendor sales manager and assigned vendor(s) to assure that policies and procedures are being followed.
  • Generate and submit sales reports as required.
  • Provide competitive and other field related feedback.

  

Required Skills and Experience:

 

  • A sincere desire to help protect the environment is a plus
  • Candidates must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Minimum 2 years B2B indirect sales experience required
  • Must we willing to work some nights and weekends
  • Must have strong documentation, communication and follow-up skills
  • Knowledge of energy/deregulation strongly preferred
  • Four year college degree preferred - Business or Marketing degree preferred.
