This is a full-time position working out of the national offices of NatureBridge in San Francisco, California. NatureBridge is committed to inspiring personal connections to the natural world and responsible actions to sustain it. We educate the next generation of leaders to respect the natural world, understand the scientific principles that govern it, and preserve it for future generations. NatureBridge is the largest nonprofit residential environmental education partner of the National Park Service. We operate four environmental education campuses in some of the most stunning places on the planet. Each year we help more than 40,000 people from diverse backgrounds find a personal connection to nature through field science education, youth leadership, and teacher training programs. For nearly 40 years, we have led the way in residential environmental education for America's youth. We have introduced almost one million students to the wonder of our national parks. The Director of Programs is a newly-created role responsible for ensuring the overall educational excellence of NatureBridge programs through organization-wide collaboration. The Director of Programs leads NatureBridge-wide program content development, initiatives, and the evaluation and coordination of programs and services for current and future NatureBridge campuses and programs. The Director of Programs is the primary liaison to the NatureBridge Education Advisory Council, the NatureBridge Education Team, and the NatureBridge External Affairs team. This position reports to the Vice President of External Affairs & Programs. * Lead and facilitate the development and implementation of the NatureBridge education vision and new NatureBridge educational programming to ensure continued excellence in all NatureBridge education programs QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES AND EDUCATION Required * Masters degree or equivalent; substantial related experience and/or training (5+ years) Preferred * Experience with the National Parks Service; the National Science Foundation; Department of Education COMPENSATION NatureBridge provides a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary commensurate with experience, medical and dental benefits, generous vacation, 403B account, and more.
