People For Puget Sound seeks a Development Director with an entrepreneurial spirit, a passion for preserving the environment, and a gift for inspiring that passion in others. The Development Director will lead a team of five to oversee fundraising efforts for the organization, including major gifts, grants, foundation and corporate contributions, memberships, and special events. The Development Director works closely with the Board of Directors, senior leadership, and key staff to: * Lead all development efforts - Develop a fundraising strategy to broaden fund sources, increase revenue, and manage donor relations. Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of eight years of professional fundraising experience ($1million and above), three years of supervisory experience, and proven track record of securing large donations ($10,000 plus) and increasing existing donations; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
