Job Description:    Overview:

Stantec's Environmental Remediation group is dedicated to helping our clients reduce their environmental liabilities by developing comprehensive remediation programs. We provide integrated, multidisciplinary services to identify and assess liabilities and risks, and to develop solutions to site management, remediation and mitigation. Our team members work on a variety of projects, including environmental assessment and monitoring, remedial design and implementation, human health & ecological risk assessments, air quality permitting and reporting, pipeline compliance, stormwater permitting and planning, and audit support services. The Redmond, WA office is looking for an entry level Environmental Technician.



Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of tasks in support of the engineering/scientific staff of the firm 
  • Perform groundwater monitoring  
  • Perform remediation system operation and maintenance  
  • Perform remediation system construction management 
  • Perform asbestos and lead based paint sampling
  • Much of work is performed in the field, though only 2-4 overnight trips will be required per year.


Qualifications:
  • Experience with soil, groundwater and air sampling is a definite plus
  • Experience with operations and maintenance of soil and groundwater remediation systems, including air sparging/soil vapor extraction, ozone, dual phase extraction and pump and treat.
  • Experience with Washing State and MTCA regulations is a plus.
  • Basic experience with trades such as carpentry,plumbing, electrical, pump and/or engine repair.
  • Ability to perform routine duties with a great deal of autonomy is required  
  • OSHA 40-hour training preferred  
  • Technical Associate degree or other technical training certificate, preferred  
  • Computer skills are required, working knowledge of Auto CAD is a plus
  • Valid driver's license is required.
