This is a full-time position working out of NatureBridge's national office in San Francisco. NatureBridge, formerly Yosemite National Institutes, is committed to educating the next generation of leaders to respect the natural world, understand the scientific principles that rule it, and preserve it for future generations. We are the largest nonprofit residential environmental and field-science organization in California and Washington, and the largest residential educational partner of the National Park Service. We currently have four environmental education campuses: * Yosemite Institute in Yosemite National Park Each year, we help more than 30,000 people from ethnically and economically diverse backgrounds find a personal connection to nature through field science, youth leadership, and teacher training programs. We have led the way in residential field science and environmental education for 39 years. During that time we have introduced almost one million students to the wonder of our national parks and inspired them to engage in conservation and service. SUMMARY The Northern California Individual Giving Officer will play a seminal role in the development and implementation of NatureBridge's northern California individual donor program. This position will serve as an important point of contact for NatureBridge's growing northern California donor base, participate in planning and implementation of fundraising and donor cultivation events, and manage all aspects of the major giving and annual giving programs. The Northern California Individual Giving Officer will build upon past achievements to meet funding goals by taking full advantage of the increasing funding opportunities in individuals committed to outdoor experiential education. The position requires a detail-oriented strategic thinker eager to contribute and excel in a dynamic work environment. NatureBridge is an award-winning leader in environmental education, committed to providing access for youth and teachers from all backgrounds. Braced with an emerging national vision and reputation, a capital campaign, and several new initiatives, NatureBridge is a fast-paced organization with enormous growth potential including opening new campuses across the nation. The Northern California Individual Giving Officer is part of the External Affairs Team, consisting of development and communications, which strives for excellence in building a cohesive and collaborative team dedicated to the mission. The Northern California Individual Giving Officer reports to the Director of Development. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Major Giving (50%) * Maintain prospect portfolios for Director of Development and Headlands Institute Director Annual Giving (30%) * Coordinate NatureBridge-wide bi-annual appeal processes including managing content generation, list generation, mailing, and analysis Event Planning and Execution (15%) * Plan and execute northern California donor cultivation events such as house parties, board mixers, and corporate volunteer opportunities including generating and sending invitations, tracking responses, and tracking event budgets Administration (5%) * Administrative support for Headlands Board and Development Committee Other Duties as Assigned
