The Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (MEEA) is a regional non-profit organization based in Chicago with a mission to advance energy efficiency in the Midwest to support sustainable economic development and environmental preservation. MEEA is committed to be a collective voice for energy efficiency at a national, regional and state levels; act as a clearinghouse to identify, evaluate and create successful programs and market assessments for the region; and foster communication on effective energy policy. The role of the Policy Sr. Manager/Manager will be to manage MEEA's local, state and regional policy initiatives while tracking the status of federal initiatives under the direction of the Director of External Relations. The focus of the Policy Manager's work will be development of energy efficiency portfolio standards, outreach to Commission and consumer advocates to educate on EE and outreach to environmental advocates. The Policy Manager is expected to work with policy, membership, marketing and events staff, represent MEEA at various industry meetings as well as to maintain and foster existing relationships in the energy efficiency community that will advance the work of the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance. * Manage MEEAs policy advocacy through coalition-building with all stakeholders, development of written research and recommended best practices and supporting materials to advance MEEA policy goals.
