Responsibilities:

In close coordination with Project Managers, this individual is responsible for project controls functions associated with engineering and design of high voltage substation, transmission and renewable energy facilities from 34.5 kV to 500 kV or above.

 

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining a complete set of project control and file structures.
  • Develop WBS structures and project cost control functions.
  • Work in a project team environment in coordination with other engineering disciplines and offices.


Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years experience in developing schedules in Primavera P6 V.5, or a more recent version.
  • Experience with project work plans, task identifications, resource planning.
  • Experience with developing and maintaining project reports.
  • Experience as a focal point for coordinating requests for engineering support and defining resource requirements for projects in the planning.
  • Experience in tracking and reporting on project progress, status and estimate to complete (ETC) projections.
  • Experience in verifying and checking the impact of multiple projects on available resources.
  • Knowledge of applied tasks required to develop physical designs preferable for substation, transmission, or renewable energy facilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to control and manage costs and schedules.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • A commitment to quality.

 

ASSETS but not required:

  • 4 year degree in business, accounting, economics or engineering.
  • Project management exposure.
  • PMI (Project Management Institute) certification.
  • Periodic onsite construction support experience.
  • Knowledge of Oracle cost control software.
